The Boston Bruins play the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday in Game 1 of the NHL Stanley Cup Final. The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET. You can tune into NBC or watch the live stream HERE.
It wouldn't be Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask's first time winning the Stanley Cup. But it would be his first time winning it as the team's starting goalie, if Boston is able to win the best-of-seven series against Chicago.
"Once you've seen it, and not being on the ice, I think everybody would like to have that chance someday," Rask told reporters. "For me, it came pretty early after our win and I'm just trying to make the most out of it and enjoy myself."
Whichever team hoists the Cup in the end will have the unique distinction of becoming the first franchise to win two Stanley Cups in the salary cap era, the Associated Press reports.
Opposite of Rask will be Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford. Rask and Crawford have been the best goalies in the league during this year's postseason - Rask has a 1.75 goals-against average (GAA) and Crawford has a 1.74.
"It's a process for goalies, I think," Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman told reporters. "We've always had confidence in (Crawford's) ability. I think it's just nice to see now him getting the recognition that he deserves.
"The consistent play that we've had game in, game out, it's been that way from the beginning of the year. We know we're going to get a great performance from him every night."
The two goalies at either end of the ice could be the deciding factor for which team ultimately raises the Cup at the end of the series.
