Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo were spotted eating breakfast together, leading to the speculation of Rondo possibly ending up in Los Angeles. ESPN's Baxter Holmes reported the Lakers could try to trade for Rondo this season with a package that includes veteran Steve Nash.
Rondo is expected to be traded this season, and one team believed to be interested in him is the Lakers. That possibility was further fueled on Thursday when Bryant, Rondo and a third person - possibly an agent - were spotted having breakfast together.

"Kobe (and) Rondo grabbed breakfast in Boston," Holmes tweeted Thursday. "KB loves him. LAL could probably get RR for two 1sts (and) Nash expiring deal."
Another option, if Los Angeles doesn't want to fork over the assets for him, is waiting for him to become an unrestricted free agent in July. He's expected to test free agency, and the Lakers will have enough salary cap space to sign Rondo to a massive contract.
It's also possible the breakfast was just a friendly get-together, as Bryant hasn't been shy in the past about his admiration for Rondo.
"You don't want Rondo? Send him my way," Bryant told ESPN in 2013, when trade rumors about the point guard were abundant. "I love everything about him. Everything. I love his attitude, I love his chippiness, his edge, his intellect, his know-it-allness. All of it. That's what makes championship players.
"What guard have you seen at this size that will get you 18 assists, 17 boards and 20 points all in one game? That's unheard of. I love that kid. I always make a point of talking to him during All-Star (Weekend). He's one of my favorites."
Other teams believed to be interested in Rondo include the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings.
