‘American Horror Story’ Cast Driven Crazy By Emma Roberts And Evan Peters’ Manic Relationship

The torturous relationship between Maggie Esmerelda, played by Emma Roberts, and Jimmy Darling, played by Evan Peters, on "American Horror Story: Freak Show" doesn't stop when the cameras stop rolling.

Roberts and Peters, engaged in real life, have driven cast members crazy with constant fighting that quickly leads to an intimate reconciliation.

"Basically, as soon as the director yells, 'Cut,' Emma and Evan are making out," a source told OK! Magazine. "That is, if they're not screaming at each other."

The couple first met while working on the movie "Adult World," but didn't get together until working on "Coven," the third installment of "American Horror Story." Peters actually had no interest in Roberts at the beginning.

"Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn't, not for a long time after," Roberts told Chelsea Handler in January. "I actually, on set, was like, 'Oh yeah, we're totally gonna date.' And I would try to like flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I'd be like, 'Hey, what's up?' And he literally didn't speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird."

They also have a history of violence in their relationship. Montreal police arrested Roberts for domestic abuse after she beat Peters in their hotel room on July 7, 2013.

Peters, who came out with a bloody nose and an alleged bite mark in the attack, chose not to press charges against his girlfriend, TMZ reported. Six months later, the 27-year-old actor proposed to Roberts.

Other "Freak Show" cast members have also spoken about Roberts' behavior, although not as a negative on set. Bassett said her high spirits helps to lighten the mood on set.

"Emma is pretty crazy, especially last night, it was she and I till midnight outdoors in the cold. She's pretty funny," the Oscar-nominated actress told Emmy Magazine in November.

"American Horror Story" airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
