Yahoo is officially the latest tech giant to get its own Developer conference focusing on mobile products.
The event, which was announced on Monday, will take place on Feb. 19, 201. Flurry, Yahoo's recently acquired mobile analytics company, will take part in the conference, according to SlashGear.
Yahoo said executive Simon Khalaf will give a "State of Mobile" address at the company's innagural Mobile Developer Conference.
Despite a lack of greater detail on the event, the company will take email addresses to provide updates as the event gets closer, Gigaom reported.
"Today, Americans spend more time on their smartphones than watching TV- making the mobile experience, and the job of mobile developers, more important than ever," Yahoo wrote in a blog post announcing the event. "Join us as we announce a suite of tools that will help mobile developers better understand their users and improve, grow and monetize their apps."
Yahoo did not provide a specific location for the conference, only saying it will be held in the Bay Area.
The conference will last for only one day and will be free to attend. Yahoo has set up a Tumblr account for anyone who wants to keep up with the event.
