An American fugitive, who planned to bomb Islamic holy sites in Israel, was arrested on terrorism suspicion and drug charges.
Adam Everett Livvix was illegally living in Israel, posed as a U.S. Navy Seal, after fleeing the U.S. where he was wanted in connection to alleged drug charges, reported The Jerusalem Post.
Livvix was arrested after police in Netanya received a tip that the escaped fugitive was living in Israel.
"[Livvix] told his acquaintances in Israel about his negative opinions towards the Arab population in Israel and his desire to cause harm to Islamic holy sites in Israel," reported the indictment.
Upon police arrival at Livvix's home in Israel they arrested him after he jumped out a seven-story window, The Jerusalem Post reported. Police also searched his home.
During questioning Livvix admitted to his plot to bomb Islamic holy sites. He had the necessary ammunition and spare gun parts in his house to carry out his plan, which were stolen from the IDF.
It's unclear how the military items came into Livvix's possession.
Livvix also had explosive bricks, six stolen gun grenades, tear gas canisters and smoke grenades, according to the indictment.
Livvix was ordered by the Netanya Magistrate Court to be held in custody and be sent for a psychiatric exam, as requested by his attorney.
