Breast Milk Being Sold Online By Mother Of Four To Pay For Kids' Christmas Presents

A cash-strapped British mother has decided to sell her own breast milk to meet the expenses for her kids' Christmas presents this year, according to local media reports on Friday.

Priced at $20 a bottle, the 26-year-old mom of four has managed to raise an eye-popping $4,750 in just one year by auctioning it off online, UK MailOnline reported.

Rebecca Hudson, from Manchester, told ITV's This Morning that she had initially been struggling to produce milk when her daughter, Milly, was born 10 weeks premature. But soon, she discovered that the milk started coming in "bucket loads."

Since her daughter only required three ounces of milk per week, the mother was left with an excess of milk that filled all her allocated hospital and home milk storage space, she said in her appearance on a TV show on Friday.

"I didn't want to pour it away because it takes a lot of work to produce breast milk. It takes energy and time," she told This Morning.

"So I thought, if I can make money for my children," Rebecca added, "I don't see the harm."

At first, she tried to donate her milk to the hospital but was told that they didn't need it, The New York Daily News reported. That's when she started searching online and came across several women in the United States who were selling their milk to online buyers.

But who was ready to purchase the milk? Apparently, bodybuilders, experimental cooks and kinky lovers contacted her in droves, queuing up for the 26-year-old's homemade formula.

Currently, she makes $20 per bottle and has eight regular customers, including a bodybuilder who uses it for the high protein nutrition, food enthusiasts who use it to cook and people who use it for sexual thrills.

"What they do with milk is up to them, I'm not going to discriminate. Whether it's for bodybuilding or sexual preferences it's up to them," she added.

Meanwhile, Rebecca said her friends and family members have been surprised by how much money she has made through this business.
