The first Batmobile used in the 1960's show sold at an auction for $137,000 on Saturday, according to The Telegraph.
The replica of the first Batmobile, which was used in 1963, hadn't been used for decades according to Dallas-based Heritage Auctions. The buyer information was not available.
"This is a great piece of lost pop culture and Americana," said Margaret Barrett, director of entertainment and music at Heritage Auctions. "There is a lot of interest in it."
The Batmobile replica was created by a Batman fan named Forrest Robinson who spent three years customizing a 1956 Oldsmobile 88 to look exactly like the first ever Batmobile.
Due to the 1960's Batman series popularity, a DC Comics licensee used Robinson's car for a Batman tour on the East Coast.
Another Batmobile used in the ABC TV Series of Batman in 1968 was sold in 2013 for $4.2 million, according to Reuters.
After the tour, the car was sold and eventually found in 2008 in a New Hampshire Field rusting away.
