No. 10 Kansas bounced back from their 72-40 blowout loss on Nov. 18 to Kentucky with five straight wins, pushing them to a 6-1 record heading into Wednesday's contest. The Jayhawks' latest win came on Friday against the Florida Gators, 71-65, despite their struggles to make baskets.

Heading into D.C. on Wednesday, Kansas will be without forward Jamari Traylor. The forward was suspended after being arrested over the weekend for interfering with a police officer, according to ESPN.

"Hopefully that will be a situation in which we can put it behind us," coach Bill Self said, via ESPN. "He's a good kid who made a bad choice. (It) certainly brought some negative attention on him and our program. Certainly it's a great learning lesson to our other guys, as well."

As for Wednesday, Self believes it'll help his team improve.

"I do think it will be good for us," he said. "This will be a tough week. We'll be definitely challenged."

He also believes his team will use their struggles from the field as a learning experience for how to win when the baskets just aren't falling.

"I think they'll draw from that," said Self. "We're going to have to win some games where we don't play great. Every athletic team, in all sports, has to do that."

Georgetown (5-2), meanwhile, snapped their two-game losing streak with a 78-46 blowout Sunday of Towson.
