After announcing her pregnancy, many began to immediately speculate on the gender of Halle Berry's baby. No need to speculate anymore, the couple announced they will be welcoming a baby boy.
"My son will be an American, but I remain French," fiance Olivier Martinez said, according to People. "I'm French - it's less important. Meaning, I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there - but I'm still a foreigner. My son will be an American."
Berry, 46, made the announcement in April that she and her fiancé are expecting their first child together. The "X-Men" star is already the mother to Nahla, 5 who is her daughter with model Gabriel Aubry. The couple separated back in 2010.
When the doctor alerted Berry that she was pregnant, Berry initially believed it was kidney stones JustJared reported.
"I was at the doctor's when they told me and I was completely shocked," Berry said. "I didn't see it coming. I went to the doctor because I thought I had kidney stones or something. Olivier and I have always wanted to be parents. But I didn't want to get my hopes up."
According to Entertainment Tonight, Berry is very excited with the pregnancy.
"I'm thinking that this is a miracle," Berry said to the press. "I feel really happy. It's one of the best things that happened in my life, for sure."
