A French military plane crashed into a home for the disabled in central France on Wednesday evening, killing one person and wounding several others.
The Alpha Jet plane was conducting a training mission when it went down and struck a building housing disabled residents in the town of Vouvray, the BBC reported.
Officials said one person is dead and six others were wounded. The victim's identity was not immediately known.
The pilot and one crew member were able to eject themselves before the crash that caused a "huge fireball," a witness named Sebastien told French newspaper Nouvelle Republique.
Residents inside the home, the name of which was not clear, were moved to another shelter.
Military investigators are determining the cause of the incident, which French officials said was due to a "technical problem," according to the Anadolu Agency.
The aircraft belonged to air base 705 of the French Air Force, the agency reported.
