Emma Watson will spend the holidays as a single woman after she broke up with her boyfriend Matthew Janney.
The two had an "amicable" split last month and remain friends, a rep for Watson told the Daily Mail. Watson's hectic schedule and Janney commitment to school and rugby at Oxford University made getting together difficult.
Despite reports, the two never cohabitated, according to the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old actress confirmed her relationship with Janney when the two were spotted enjoying each other's company on a beach in the Caribbean last January. The couple kept their relationship private but the 22-year-old Janney did accompany his girlfriend on press trips to Spain and the United States, according to E! News.
Watson will next star in the film "Regression" opposite Golden Globe nominee Ethan Hawke. She's currently shooting the movie "Colonia Dignidad" about the Chilean coup of 1973. She stars with Daniel Brühl as a German couple swept up in the political protests.
Janney's Oxford rugby squad recently pummeled Cambridge 43-6 in the 133rd Varsity Match.
