A small tech company based in France is making it possible to use a touch screen on your arm with a high-tech bracelet.
The device, called the Cicret Bracelet, uses embedded projector and several proximity sensors to create a screen to type on, according to Discovery News. The touchscreen experience is provided by detecting the location and movement of the user's fingers.
The bracelet will be used with a smartphone via Bluetooth, and users will type, swipe and pinch just like you would with an actual touchscreen.
Circet has put up a video of the device on YouTube demonstrating its capabilities, and it has so far gained 3 million views, Designboom reported. Users can swipe to scroll down the screen, and playing games on apps is also possible.
Possibilities with the bracelet include playing games instantly, answering calls from phones across the room and interacting with the device while underwater.
The Cicret Bracelet is still in its prototype phase and the team is trying to raise money for the device on its website to make it available to the public, Discovery News reported. Guillaume Pommier, co-founder of Cicret, said the company wants to start selling the bracelet in about a year in a half for around $400.
Cicret also has its own app that people can use on their phones anonymously with several encryption options.
