Rick Harrison Creates Handheld Trivia Game Based On His 'Pawn Stars' Show

Trivia buffs can now hold the knowledge of “Pawn Stars” Rick Harrison right in the palm of their hands.

The TV pawn shop expert has created a new interactive game called “Rick Harrison’s Trivia Knowledge.” The game is available on Apple's App Store.

But the trivia game is not expected to be the only online development by Harrison.

The co-founder of the World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop and his business partner, Jim Scott, started a Las Vegas-based company, called Old Man Interactive, to produce games for social media and mobile devices.

"Rick Harrison's Trivia Challenge," is the first game for the company, which was named after Harrison’s father, Rick Harrison, Jr., who is the co-owner of World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, depicted on the History Channel reality show, “Pawn Stars.”

In "Rick Harrison's Trivia Challenge," players are able to answer thousands of questions in more than 15 categories. Players start at the entrance to the pawn shop and they meet up with Harrison, who guides the players to answer timed trivia questions.

Throughout the game, players encounter Harrison’s father, the “Old Man,” and other pawn shop regulars Corey and Chumlee, who offer advice and answers to get the players to the next level.

The game is free to download, and throughout the game, players can collect gold coins redeemable for gold and silver Pawn Shop T-shirts, hats and other collectibles.

Harrison is leveraging his brick-and-mortar business and his knowledge onto a lucrative platform in the gaming industry. The mobile gaming industry is expected to hit $100 billion by 2017, according to digital research firm Digi-Capital.
