Country star John Rich has something to say about the Marvel Universe LIVE! Arena show, which features Marvel superheroes and villains.
The singer-songwriter labeled the arena show itself as a big time villain ... it terrified his two sons with "loud explosions and aggressive audio."
Rich said that Marvel Universe LIVE! arena show is promoted as a kid-friendly event, however, he said pyrotechnics and loud sounds left his two sons terrified and in tears, according to Philly.com.
His three and four-year-old boys were excited to attend the live-action experience, but they burst into tears when fireworks went off close to their seats. Rich said his sons were so traumatized that they had to leave just 15 minutes into the show.
"They (Marvel) should warn people before you drop a few hundred bucks to get your kids all hyped up. Really disappointed us," he told TMZ.
Representatives for Marvel have yet to respond to Rich's comments, although a promotional statement posted on the show's website insists, "Marvel Universe LIVE! was created for fans of all ages."
