"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" may star two strong female characters, but Lois Lane and Wonder Woman will not share a jealous rivalry that leads to stereotypical hair-pulling and name-calling.
Amy Adams, who will reprise her "Man of Steel" role as Lois, shot down any chance of her character competing with Wonder Woman for the affections of Superman in the upcoming Zack Snyder film.
"They always think that if you put in another woman and automatically... 'Catfight!'" Adams told ComingSoon.net. "No, I think that's a male fantasy thing. I don't think that's reality."
The characters may not even cross paths much in the movie. Adams rarely worked with Gal Gadot, who will portray the Amazonian superhero, but did appreciate having another woman on set.
"It's exciting to get to bring in all these other characters and I was really excited that Gal was involved, because it was nice to have another girl on set, even if we don't work together a lot, it was nice to have her there," the 40-year-old actress said.
A romantic rivalry may not spring up in "Batman v Superman," but Adams would not speculate on what will occur between the two characters in future movies from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.
"I don't know how it will turn out, if we're going to be competition, but we are not in this, I can safely say, and we're not in real life. She's just the coolest girl."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has more than a year to premiere on March 25, 2016. Snyder and his crew officially wrapped production earlier this month.
Adams will next star in the Tim Burton film "Big Eyes" opposite Christoph Waltz. Her role in the movie has already earned her a Golden Globes nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture.
