Beyoncé And Jay-Z Sued Over ‘Drunk In Love’ Vocals

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have fans all over the world but one woman in Hungary thinks she deserves a little of the credit for their hit single "Drunk in Love."

Monika Miczura a.k.a. Mitsou claims the third song off Beyoncé's self-titled album, produced by Timberland, illegally sampled a Roma folk song that she recorded in 1995, according to TMZ. Her vocals allegedly run over the first 13 seconds of the song.

Mitsou says she never gave the artists permission to use the song. She also took issue with how Beyoncé incorporated her song about hopelessness into "Drunk in Love" that evokes "foreign eroticism alongside the sexually intense lyrics."

The vocals allegedly come from a her song called "Bajba, Bajba Pelem." Mitsou claims the three music superstars digitally manipulated her voice with Auto-Tune and various cuts, according to TMZ.

In addition to monetary compensation, the Hungarian songstress has asked a judge to shelf the song as long as it features her vocals.

Beyoncé dropped her fifth studio album with no prior notice on iTunes in December 2013. The song explores female sexuality and brought the sex act known as "surfboard" into the mainstream.
