The Tennessee Titans play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. Kickoff is at 8:25 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Both teams are 2-12, with Jacksonville continuing to start a rookie quarterback. Jaguars signal caller Blake Bortles was tossed into the fire, and although he's struggled - 10 touchdowns, 17 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 70.6 - he's shown glimpses at times that he could be the team's franchise quarterback. He knows, though, he needs to continue to improve his game. One part of that is finding ways to stay upright: he's been sacked a league-high 41 times since Oct. 9, according to ESPN.
"A lot of them are on me," he said, via ESPN. "Some are on the offensive line. It's on the whole offense. It's football, so you better be used to getting hit. In college, you can run around and do more stuff, but in the NFL guys are a lot faster and stronger. So it's a little more difficult. You want to be able to get rid of the ball and live another down, not lose 5, 10 yards on third down and create longer field-goal situations.
"Those are definitely things I'm working on."
With Titans quarterback Jake Locker finished for the season after injuring his non-throwing shoulder and rookie Zach Mettenberger also sidelined with a shoulder injury, Tennessee will start third-stringer Charlie Whitehurst.
"I feel good about Charlie and what he's done," Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said of the quarterback, who went 10 of 24 for 203 yards last week after replacing Locker. "... He started against Jacksonville the last time and played a pretty good game. He's been a great support in the room, and we have confidence in him that when he plays he's going to be successful."
Tennessee is also 2-12.
