If you've played all the "Final Fantasy" games, you've surely come across multiple, mechanically minded characters named Cid. A new "Final Fantasy XV" trailer from the Jump Festa 2015 event in Japan shows that Cid will make another appearance, for the first time as Cidney, a female character. Check it out below:
Cid has been both a party member and an NPC in previous games. According to "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata (via Dual Shockers), Cidney isn't essential to the game's story, but she's a mechanic that will no doubt help you with the car that's been featured heavily in the trailers that have been released thus far.
This new trailer also shows off a new, giant summon appropriately named Titan, camping, which you'll use to convert experience into levels; and also towns, which you can see more of in another video of the game below.
"Final Fantasy XV" doesn't have a release date as of yet. Back in September, Tabata said it's only 55 percent finished...so, if I had to guess, I would say we won't be seeing this title until the end of 2015 at the earliest. It does look very promising so far, and I haven't said that about a FF game in quite some time.
