BYU (8-4) heads into Monday's bowl game with a four-game winning streak under their belt. Their last win came on Nov. 29 against California, 42-35, and the Cougars are looking to close out their season on a high note - something coach Bronco Mendenhall knows won't come easy against the 9-3 Tigers.

"Well, I think both teams are [eager] to win," he said, via the Salt Lake Tribune. "... I am not sure what the experts say in terms of what the margin is [expected to be], either way. My guess is it will be pretty close, and it should be a really intriguing game. It is the only game on that day, on a national stage, [and it is] in Miami. I think it is a great opportunity for our program."

While Memphis might not be a top-ranked football program, BYU won't underestimate their opponent as the team looks to bounce back from their 31-16 loss to Washington at the Fight Hunger Bowl last season.

"We don't overlook a team," said BYU receiver Jordan Leslie. "When you look at their defense, it is a top-ranked defense. I mean, that's a challenge for us. Our defense looking at their offense is just as much of a challenge. You can't look at the name-brand of a team, because any team any year can be successful. They are 9-3 and their losses are against ranked teams and Houston. That's a tough schedule. To have an opportunity to go 10-3 - that's a great team."

Memphis' three losses this season came against UCLA, Ole Miss and Houston. The Tigers, though, had a strong finish to their season, winning six straight games.
