Justin Timberlake Invites Garth Brooks To Perform ‘Friends In Low Places’ (SEE IT)

Justin Timberlake ordered some superstar backup for his live rendition of "Friends in Low Places" during his Nashville performance on Friday evening.

The 33-year-old singer played the first verse of the Garth Brooks ditty, with his fans accompanying him on the well-known chorus. He then abruptly stopped the performance mid-song.

"Hold on, now something don't feel right, something don't feel right, Nashville," he told the screaming audience at the Bridgestone Arena. "I mean, if you're going to this s***... Garth?"

Brooks then emerged from the back of the stage wearing his trademark baseball cap and gave JT a big bear hug. The two performers traded lines during the second verse, with Timerlake looking as giddy as school girl when Brooks took the lead.

As the second verse came to an end, the "Suit & Tie" singer insisted Brooks continue with his traditional third verse that he only performs during his live concerts. The country legend tried to explain that on his first world tour in almost 16 years, which launched in September, he no longer performs that third verse.

Nashville fans would not accept that answer and began booing Brooks. The Grammy-winner finally gave in for Timberlake and because "we are in the greatest state in the land of the free," (Nashville is the home of country and JT was born in Memphis).

When they finished, Brooks exited the stage and Timberlake collapsed to the floor in amazement. "Now I really can't believe that just happened," he said when he regained his composure.

Timberlake will finish up "The 20/20 Experience World Tour" with two concerts in Las Vegas on Jan. 1 and 2. Brooks finished up the first leg of his North American tour in Little Rock, Ark., on Dec. 13 and will start the next leg in his hometown of Tulsa, Okla., on Jan. 9 for seven concerts at the BOK Center.
