Friday morning makes for an exciting match as the two longtime rivals meet in the 10th game of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. India has already qualified for the tournament's semifinals and Pakistan has already been eliminated, but any match between archrivals is usually intense, IB Times reports.
India's solid performances throughout the tournament have made them the favorite to win the trophy. They enter Friday's match with a head of steam, coming off a victory over South Africa by 26 runs and a victory over West Indies by eight wickets.
The squad's match against Pakistan can allow them to make any last minute tune-ups before the semifinals next week.
As for Pakistan, the tournament has been a let down. They lost by two wickets to West Indies in the opener, and they lost by 67 runs to South Africa. A win over India will be some consolation to an otherwise poor performance in this year's tournament.
Pakistan has traditionally gotten the better of India. In the clubs' 124 meetings, Pakistan won 71 of the matches, including wins the two times the clubs met in the Champions Trophy. India has improved lately against their rivals — in their last 10 matches, the clubs are 5-5.
IB Times predicts India to win.
