Red-hot singer Ed Sheeran is hoping that two of his pals will become the entertainment industry's new power couple. He thinks Taylor Swift and Orlando Bloom should be an item - and soon!
Sheeran is anxious for the two stars to start dating, and if the pop star and acclaimed actor do strike up a romance, it definitely won't have to be a long-distance relationship.
"He's lovely, and they live in the same building," Sheeran told "Now" magazine. "[I'm hoping that ] the magic might present itself eventually."
Bloom is 37, Swift, 24.
Swift dating Bloom could prove to be a little tricky as the actor has some history with one of Swift's best friends, Selena Gomez. Bloom got into a fight with Gomez's on again, off again boyfriend Justin Bieber just a few months after he was spotted with Gomez, justjaredjr.com reported.
Sheeran's debut major label album "+" was an instant hit, and he soon began co-writing songs with bigger artists, such as One Direction and Swift. He even opened for Swift on her 2013 arena tour. His next album "X" debuted in June at No. 1 in the U.S. and U.K.
Bloom studied acting as a child before he was cast as the heroic Legolas in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. He also found major success starring in three films of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise with Johnny Depp. He's landed other big-screen roles in "Troy," "Elizabethtown" and "The Three Musketeers."
