Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger Wedding: Pop Star Reveals Nupital Details

Pop star Avril Lavigne recently spoke to HELLO! UK magazine about her upcoming wedding to Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger, exclaiming that the big event will be "spectacular," according to contactmusic.com.

"I'm planning a wedding," the star said to the magazine in a recent interview. "Some things will be a surprise. Some things will be what he likes and still will surprise him! Our wedding song will be a duet we recorded together for my new album.

''It evolved into this wonderful thing," she said. "When you're sitting there signing across from somebody into the microphone and you're singing a love song, you start to develop these feelings for that person, and it just blossomed into this thing.''

Lavigne and Kroeger got to know each other will writing songs for Lavigne's forthcoming album in early 2012, according to US Magazine, and wrote a duet together called "Let Me Go." Lavigne was previously married to Sum41's Deryck Whibley, but the two split in 2009 after over three years of marriage. Lavigne and Kroeger announced their engagement in August 2012. Last year Lavigne told HELLO! Canada that Kroeger makes her "laugh every day."

The couple are planning to follow each other on tour so they can spend "the majority of their time together," Lavigne said to HELLO! UK. "We want to make sure that we are on the same road together versus two separate paths. He has been with me the past year, making my record," the singer said. "I was on tour with him [in Sydney, Australia], and he is going to come on tour with me. When were hanging out and having a good time, I never want it to end."

According to Lavigne, her new album will be different from her original sound. "I'm doing different stuff with my vocals that I haven't done before," she said to Us Magazine. "I'm more experienced and my voice has grown a lot."
