Following her decision to go undergo a double mastectomy after she learning she had a high risk for developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, Angelina Jolie is said to be feeling better and getting back to her old self, according to her fiancé Brad Pitt.
According to E! Online, when the 49-year old actor sat down with "Good Morning America" he revealed an update on how Jolie was feeling and that she hoped many other could be tested for the BRCA gene.
"Her focus now is just to make sure all people have access to the [genetic] testing and know what they can do about it," he said. "We were really surprised and moved how many other people were dealing with the same issue.
"Her idea was that someone could learn from her story-she would love to share that. It's just been a beautiful thing to watch," he said.
The "World War Z" star said discovering that one may have the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene "doesn't have to be a scary thing-it can be an empowering thing."
With Jolie's recent health scare, the "Fight Club" star continues to worry about his family.
"That's the only thing that keeps me up at night-is everyone safe," Pitt said.
Pitt and Jole have six children together, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
During the filming of "World War Z" Pitt takes on the role of a father protecting his wife and children from a upcoming apocalypse to which Pitt said he "put those fears into place" because he wanted to make the movie feel "as real as possible.
"My boys love these things," said Pitt on how excited Pax and Maddox were to see their Dad in a zombie apocalypse film. "They were the first impetus to start exploring [the movie]."
"World War Z" hits theaters this Friday.
