Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel will take over the McKinley High glee club in the final season of "Glee" and they may see a little of themselves in a few of the new kids.
The new "New Directions" will feature at least five new members. Four of the five actors joining "Glee" are making their TV debuts, but all come from singing backgrounds whether on stage, reality competition shows or YouTube fame.
Fox announced the official casting list in August with the names and descriptions for the show's new characters. TVLine pieced together the actors who will fulfill those roles.
See the actors and the characters they will portray below:
Noah Guthrie as Roderick
Guthrie is best known for his cover performance of Ariana Grande's "Problem" on "Dancing with the Stars" this past season for Mark Ballas and Sadie Robertson's performance. He's also tallied an impressive 22 million view-count for his "Sexy and I Know It" cover on YouTube.
Roderick is described as a chubby and shy student with a voice like Otis Redding, his looks don't match with his talent. Described as "a true goober." He's the show's new underdog.
Marshall Williams as Spencer
Williams first showed off his vocal chops as a finalist on "Canadian Idol" in 2008. He then went on to have small screen appearances in "Saving Hope" and "Alphas," and starred in the 2014 Disney Original Movie, "How to Build a Better Boy."
Spencer is the new resident "football stud" who just so happens to possess an incredible voice. He's also gay. The casting notice says, "He's post-Glee gay - no one messes with him about his sexuality because he will kick their a**es if they do."
Williams also described his character as a "postmodern gay teen" and actually played football for his high school alma mater, according to the Winnipeg Free Press.
"My guy is a douchey high school jock who is a jerk to everyone, but has a softer side that will come out in future episodes," Williams told the Canadian paper. "I know what it's like to do that. He was a perfect character for me."
Samantha Ware as Jane
Ware comes to "Glee" from the stage. She first appeared as Nala in "The Lion King" on Broadway. She then hit the road in the first national tour for "The Book of Mormon."
Jane is righteous, ambitious and unconventionally pretty, she's funny because she doesn't have much of a sense of humor. She wanted to be a Warbler, but tradition kept her from joining, so she jumps ship to the New Directions.
Billy Lewis Jr. as Mason
Lewis has toured the country with several national productions including "Hair," "Spring Awakening" and "Queens' We Will Rock You." He also recently released a debut EP of original music.
Mason is the brother of the male/female twins who cheer for Sue Sylvester's Cheerios. He's super-positive, extremely weird and gives off a gay vibe, even though he isn't.
"Set your DVRs!!! SO STOKED to finally announce, I've been lucky enough to join the Cast of 'Glee' for their 6th and Final Season!!" Lewis wrote on his website on Nov. 24. "It's been quite the whirlwind over the past couple months and I'm excited to keep sharing this crazy experience with everyone!!"
Laura Dreyfuss as Madison
Dreyfuss also comes from the Broadway stage with parts in "Hair" and a nearly three-year stint in "Once."
Madison is Mason's twin sister. She too is super-positive and extremely weird.
"Glee" returns for its sixth and final season on Friday, Jan. 9 with a two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. on Fox.
