Four people were found dead after police responded to a call of a suicide attempt in Texas on Sunday, Yahoo! News reported.
A 9-year-old called a family member from inside the home and told her that a man was injured there after trying to kill himself, according to Crowley Police Chief Luis Soler. The woman then called 911 after receiving the message from the child.
Two women, a man and a young girl were found dead inside the home about four minutes after the emergency call was placed. The 9-year-old was unhurt and placed in protective custody.
The victims had "obvious signs of trauma," though the nature of their injuries weren't explained passed that.
"We don't know exactly what happened out there," Soler said, adding that the medical examiner's office had not yet determined the victims' identities or what killed them.
The group was living as a family, but it's not yet clear how they are all related. There is said to be no threat to the general public, and that there were no signs of forced entry at the house, Fox News reported.
The deaths have sent shock waves through the small community of only about 14,000 residents just outside of Fort Worth.
