Set for release on July 23, the name of Mariah Carey's 15th studio album has been revealed on Walmart.com. "The Art of Letting Go" does not yet have a tracklist available, but is now available for preorder.
"Melancholic moment letting go of something this personal to me yet I couldn't be more excited to give three years of my soul to the fans," the superstar diva recently tweeted.
The singer's new single "#Beautiful (featuring Miguel)" peaked at its current position of 15 on the Hot 100 chart. Written and produced by Carey and Miguel, the mid-tempo track features R&B, soul and pop influences, setting the tone for the sound on Carey's upcoming and highly anticipated new album. The song has received critical acclaim, with music critic Maura Johnston declaring it the "song of the summer," according to the Los Angeles Times.
"I'm collaborating with a lot of my favorite people but the main thing is [that] I'm not trying to follow any particular trend, I want it to be well received. I want to stay true to myself and the music that I love and make the fans happy," Carey said to Billboard in August 2012 on her latest record.
Having just wrapped up her first season as a judge on "American Idol," it will be first and final season. Fellow judge and show rival Nicki Minaj is also reportedly leaving her role as a judge on the singing competition, according to the Daily Mail.
Carey has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time.
