Eleven-time All-Star NBA player Allen Iverson is caught up in another legal battle with his ex-wife Tawanna Iverson, according to reports from TMZ.
Allen is being accused of abducting his own children after taking them on a vacation. Tawanna has filed legal documents that claim, after asking for legal permission to take their five children on a short vacation to Charlotte North Carolina from May 22 to May 26, Allen has yet to return the children.
His ex-wife, who filed for a legal divorce earlier this year, said that after granting the children's father permission to take them on a vacation, the 26 came and went with no word from the former NBA star.
The kids range from ages three to 16-years-old. In the documents filed by Tawanna, she claims she arranged an exchange for June 4 at a local Target store, a neutral location, but Allen never showed up and she still has not seen the children.
The mother has sole legal and primary physical custody of all five children. She now believes Allen never took the children to Charlotte North Carolina at all, like he formally requested he would. Instead, she believes he is hiding the kids in a Sheraton hotel in Georgia.
Allen is an alcoholic who, according to his ex-wife, drinks around the children. She's requesting the court force him to return the children to her, the rightful custody owner, and punish the kid's father by sentencing him to some jail time.
This is not the first time she has tried to get her ex-husband put in jail. She has previously begged the court to send him to jail for not paying more than $40,000 in child support.
Allen has filed legal documents in which he denies all of his ex-wife's allegations.
