Dog Presumed Dead, Comes Back to Life (WATCH)

A dog named, Kona, gave her owner William Leong, the best holiday present ever when she sprung back to life in North Reading, Mass recently, according to WCVB.

Kona somehow walked into a police officer's yard prompting the law enforcement official to call police.

"It was the happiest day of my life," Leong said at a news conference WCVB reported. "I can't imagine what I'd do without my dogs."

Leong originally figured the animal was no longer living. He even reported the puppy missing to the North Reading, Mass police. Officers told him they were given a report about a dog who matched Kona's characteristics might have been struck by a car.

The whole debacle started when Kona separated from her straps following a stroll. Leong coincidentially laid to rest the leftovers of what he thought was one of his beloved pets, upon thinking that wild animals took the pooch.

Dec. 22 brought Leong good news however when North Reading, Mass officer Greg Connolly came across a dog, that resembled Kona, on his property.

The law enforcement officials then handed photos of Kona over to North Reading police. They realized that the animal was just like the pup in images of her that Leong had when she first went missing. Police subsequently contacted Leong so he could make a visit to his lost pet for identification purposes.

Leong's reunion with Kona happened after a trip to the groomer of course!
