Bobby Newport is returning to Pawnee in the final season of "Parks and Recreation."
Paul Rudd will reprise his role as the Sweetums' heir in two episodes, Entertainment Weekly reported. The character, first introduced in Season 4, will make his Season 7 debut after Ben (Adam Scott) offers him an open job position.
"He's the world's nicest human being - and the funniest," said executive producer Michael Schur about Rudd. "We made a list of all the people that we wanted to have back and he was high on the list, so we managed to snag him."
Rudd filmed his scenes for "Parks" as he was shooting for the summer 2015 movie "Ant-Man," in which he plays the title character. Other stars returning for the seventh season include Rashida Jones, Jon Hamm, Megan Mullally, Rob Lowe, Natalie Morales and Rachel Dratch.
Last season ended with Ben (Scott) and Leslie (Amy Poehler) becoming parents to triplets.
"I think everyone feels like, 'We don't want to overstay our welcome. We want to go out on a high note,'" Schur told EW in May. "We did this big creative leap at the end of last year and now we get to pursue that in a fun way for half the year and then we'll wave goodbye and exit stage left."
Details about Season 7 are being kept under wraps, but the series returns Jan. 13.
