Pennsylvania police say they were able to nab a suspected pizza shop robber thanks to a roll of toilet paper, the Associated Press reported.
Eric Frey allegedly walked into Michael Maria's Pizza in Uniontown on Saturday and handed a threatening note to an employee written on a piece of toilet paper.
"I have a gun. Give me $300," the note read, according to police.
Before Frey could flee, the employee was able to press a silent panic button alerting police to the robbery.
Frey told Uniontown cops after they arrived that he was forced into committing the robbery by a man who threatened him with a gun in a nearby alley, the AP reported.
But the officers apparently knew better because they searched Frey's apartment and found a brand new roll of toilet paper with creases in it matching the writing on the note.
The pen used to write the note was reportedly next to the roll.
But the clever suspect tried changing his story again, telling police the man threatened him inside his home instead of the alley, according to UPI.
The search of Frey's apartment also turned up more than 90 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and held on $25,000 bond.
