Paul Walker’s Father Suing Roger Rodas’ Family Over $1.8 Million Exotic Car Collection

Paul Walker's father has reportedly filed legal documents against the estate of the late Roger Rodas. According to TMZ, Paul Walker III is suing Rodas' family claiming that it is in possession of $1.8 million worth of exotic cars that belonged to his son.

In the documents, Walker III said the cars are either fully or partially owned by the late actor. According to Entertainment Weekly, he's demanding that the cars be returned immediately and/or a "proportionate share of any sales proceeds derived from the sale of such vehicles" be given to the Walker family.

The "Fast & the Furious" star and Rodas were close friends and co-owners of the Valencia, Calif., car shop Always Evolving. The two men died in November 2013 after a Porsche - driven by Rodas - crashed and exploded. The Los Angeles County coroner's department revealed that the car was traveling more than 90 mph before the crash.

At the time, witnesses said Walker and Rodas were at a charity event when they decided to take the car for a test drive. Less than 10 minutes after they left the parking lot, the car lost control and crashed into a tree. The impact was so forceful that it caused the car to burst into flames and then explode.

Witnesses told the Los Angeles Times that people thought the smoke from the car was from a nearby fire on a hill and ran over with fire extinguishers to help.

"There was nothing they could do," eyewitness Jim Torp told the newspaper.

"They just didn't want to believe this happened," he added. "It was 'Fast and the Furious,' that's what it is. Both race car enthusiasts, both loved speed, both knew how to handle cars, and this had to happen."
