Missing Woman's Body Found In Trunk

The body of Lisa Byrd-New Andrews, who had been missing since Dec. 11, was found in a trunk in Dallas on Tuesday, NBC reported.

Andrews' body was found in the trunk of a car parked at the Sontera Palms Apartments building in northern Dallas. The 48-year-old woman hadn't been seen by family members since Dec. 7 and was reported missing to police on Dec. 11.

She was discovered inside the trunk of a 2004 Ford Mustang, which was the same car she was last seen driving.

The car was parked idly outside the apartment building and was towed with Andrews' body still inside the trunk. It is said to have belonged to a relative.

"We rode past that car several times from Christmas Eve up until today," Neighbor Willow Taylor told CBS Local. "This car is always parked on the side, so we never thought there was a body in it."

Another apartment resident recognized the car and didn't see it move.

"It's been sitting out there for about two weeks," the resident said. "We thought maybe somebody just parked there, was moving around the apartments and stuff or had another car."
