The sixth and final season of "Glee" kicks off Friday, Jan. 9 with a two-hour premiere and E! Online has already got the scoop. The entertainment site was able to catch an early screening of the first two episodes and shared a few spoilers for what's in store. Check them out below:
- Gleeks will definitely be satisfied with the premiere because it focuses on the characters fans have grown to love over the past six years. And bonus: everyone is back in Lima at McKinley High.
- Newbie Samantha Ware, who plays the ambitious Jane, is totally lovable. The character is described as "unconventionally pretty" with a funny personality but lacks a sense of humor. Jane wanted to be a Warbler but is now a New Directioner.
"She steals pretty much every scene. More, please!" E! wrote about Jane.
- The first episode is titled "Loser Like Me" and reveals what went wrong with Rachel's TV show "That's So Rachel." It also explains why she's in Lima again.
- The first two episodes will explore a big breakup between one couple. Besides the split, not much else is going on in the romance department.
"We're not happy about it. Especially the bar scene at the end of episode one, which is cringe upon cringe-worthy," E! wrote.
- There's a scene featuring an adorably cute baby and equally cute baby daddy.
- By episode two, "Homecoming," everyone is back at McKinley.
- There's a performance of "99 Problems" by the old Cheerios and we're sure it's going to be awesome.
- Episode two also features a scene with a Yogi Bear and Boo Boo reference that will slay you."
- Fans will finally get to meet all five new characters by the second episode and they all join the New Directions. The newbies joining "Glee" are:
Noah Guthrie as Roderick, a chubby and shy student who has a voice like Otis Redding. He's the new underdog this season.
Marshall Williams as Spencer, the football stud who has a great singing voice and also happens to be gay. He's described as "post-Glee gay" meaning if you make fun of his sexuality, he'll kick your butt.
Ware as Jane
Billy Lewis Jr. as Mason, a new male student with a twin sister. People assume he's gay, but he's not.
Laura Dreyfuss as Madison, Mason's twin sister. She's said to be extremely positive but seriously weird.
