Marvel Releases ‘Ant-Man’-Sized Teaser Trailer [VIDEO]

Marvel will debut the first official trailer for "Ant-Man" during the premiere of Marvel's "Agent Carter" on Jan. 6.

A teaser trailer gave a literally tiny peek at the upcoming movie starring Paul Rudd. The 15-second promo runs a video so small only an "ant" could see it. The "human-sized" and complete version will run on Tuesday night.

UPDATE: Marvel has released the "human-sized" teaser. The full-size trailer still coming on Tuesday.

Marvel Studios has kept a tight lid on "Ant-Man" so far, only allowing a short scene (without audio) to play during the "Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop" special in November. The Marvel Cinematic Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 also featured first-look footage of Ant-Man's super ability to switch sizes without the loss of his strength.

Rudd stars as Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym, who originally took on the responsibilities of the title character. The film also stars Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross, a.k.a. Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip "Ti" Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale and Jordi Mollà as Castilloand.

"The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios' 'Ant-Man.' Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in
scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang [Rudd] must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym [Douglas], protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world," the official synopsis reads.

Marvel characters seen in previous films such as Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Armin Zola and a young Alexander Pierce (previously portrayed by Robert Redford) will make an appearance in "Ant-Man" as well.

The writing credits for the film remain undetermined since director-writer Edgar Wright, who dropped off the project in May, wrote the original screenplay. Marvel brought on Peyton Reed to direct and Adam McKay to do a re-write.

"Agent Carter" premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC. "Ant-Man" opens in theaters on July 17, 2015.
