Man Found Dead Inside Tent on Motel Room Bed Used Propane as Light Source

A man died inside a tent in a Delaware motel room on Saturday after he built the tent on top of the bed and used propane as a light source, Philly.com reported.

The incident at a Days Inn was reported to 911 at roughly 2:30 p.m. Matthew Ornstein, 34, was found inside the tent unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Numerous small propane canisters the man used as a lighting source were found inside the motel room, and the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will be continuing the investigation, according to Delaware Online.

Police said Ornstein's death does not appear to be suspicious, but an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
