The newest addition to the Kardashian clan is already smiling, according to People. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's new baby girl was born about three weeks early, and despite a dramatic delivery, is doing currently doing fine.
Kardashian was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on June 14 after going into premature labor due to complications. Her boyfriend, West, rushed to be by his girlfriend's side, cancelling a listening party for his new album "Yeezus" just 15 minutes prior to the playback. "Kanye seemed very supportive. It looked like support in pain and labor," a source who spotted the celebrity couple at the hospital told People.
The next day Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl, who sources said looked "just like her mommy." The new baby is "the prettiest, tiniest thing with a full head of straight, dark hair, a cute little nose and Kim's lips," according to Kardashian's best friend Jonathan Cheban, who visited her over the weekend. "She's already smiling!"
"Kim is doing amazing and couldn't be happier," Cheban said to People at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday. "I'm so thrilled for her and Kanye."
Baby K (full name yet unconfirmed) has been spending time in an incubator to regulate her body temperature, as is standard for premature babies. A hospital source told People that she is doing "very well." The new parents are reportedly "over the moon," despite rumors during Kardashian's pregnancy that she and West were on the rocks.
Kardashian's friend Larsa Pippen recounted to E! News that West is very excited and happy to be a new dad. "He doesn't leave the room. He's, like, in love with the baby. It's so cute," she said. Even though West's new album has not officially been released yet, he is winning over many critics who have already written a number of glowing reviews.
People also teased that their new issue will detail Kardashian's dramatic early labor and emergency delivery, and may give some insight into a future Kardashian and West wedding. Is marriage in store for these two?
