Elephants aren't the only animals that never forget.
A Wisconsin bow-hunter was sent to the hospital when the doe he shot with an arrow attacked him after he returned for the deer, Action Reporter Media has learned.
The unnamed man was out with his crossbow on the Peebles Trail in the Wisconsin town of Taycheedah on Friday when he shot the doe with an arrow. He left the area and later returned to track the injured animal, Fond du Lac County sheriffs said.
But the doe had something else in mind because she attacked the 72-year-old hunter.
"Apparently the man was going through some thick brush and the deer leaped out and went after him," Fond du Lac Sheriff's Officer Jeff Bonack told Action Reporter Media.
"The doe struck him in the leg with her head."
An ambulance arrived at around 7:30 p.m. and transported the man to St. Agnes Hospital. It's unclear what injuries the hunter was treated for.
The doe's fate is also unclear.
"I'm guessing the deer got away," Bonack told Action Reporter Media.
