No. 10 Texas heads into Monday's game looking for their third straight win. The Longhorns pushed their record to 12-2 with Saturday's 70-61 victory at Texas Tech. Although Texas came away with the win, sophomore guard Isaiah Taylor admitted he needed to play better and quickly knock off the rust from his 10-game layoff. Taylor, who was sidelined with a broken wrist, committed six turnovers and went 2-of-10 from the field.

"I knew it was going to be a tough one," said Taylor, via ESPN. "I know I have to do better going into the game against Oklahoma on Monday. I just got to do better on the defensive end and get my teammates the ball."

No. 16 Oklahoma, meanwhile, is 10-3 after winning their last three games. Their latest victory came on Saturday in a 73-63 win over Baylor. TaShawn Thomas recorded a team-high 24 points and eight rebounds, a positive showing after struggling in his last 12 non-conference games.

"I didn't really feel like I played to my potential, so I just talked to myself and I talked to coaches and everything, and they told me that when conference starts out, it's a new season," he said. "I have a new beginning, so I just came out with a fresh mindset and didn't try (to) think about anything that happened in the preseason or anything like that."
