Strangers Send Love (And Puppy Pics) To A Teen Cancer Patient (SEE PHOTOS)

Anthony Lyons is a 16-year-old with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He gets treatment at the Phoenix Children's Hospital (he started another round of chemotherapy on Jan. 2) and he lights up during visits from the volunteer dogs.

The dogs don't get to hang out with Anthony every day, though, so family friends Roberta Lucero-Koron and Ro Joe started a Facebook group called Photo Doggies for Anthony, according to Huffington Post.

(As of time of publication, the link to the Facebook group was unavailable).

The Facebook group went viral and accumulated more than 737,000 members, according to Huffington Post. Doggies from Dubai to Australia to Colorado to Paris shared photos, videos and wishes for a speedy recovery.

"We have laughed ohhhed and ahhed at every single photo and video so far it has really been a Joy and I appreciate everyone sharing their pets with us..." Anthony's mom, Kristen Lyons, wrote on the group's page, according to Huffington Post.

If you don't have a dog or would like to help Anthony's family in another way, monetary donations can be made through the GiveForward fundraising page.

(As of time of publication, the group was at 54 percent of the $25,000 goal).
