Another character with a long history in DC Comics lore is making an appearance on "Constantine." Felix Faust, to be played by "Breaking Bad" alum Mark Margolis, will be making life difficult for Constantine and company, according to a report at Entertainment Weekly.
Felix Faust was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, and first appeared in 1962's "Justice League of America" #10. Traditionally depicted as a powerful and villainous sorcerer, Faust fits in with the supernatural-themed DC characters that have appeared on "Constantine" thus far, including Jim Corrigan (the future Spectre), Doctor Fate (only his helmet has been glimpsed thus far) and the title character, John Constantine.
In "Breaking Bad," Margolis played the memorable and Emmy-nominated guest role of Héctor Salamanca. A veteran actor with scores of experience and roles under his belt, Margolis recently appeared on "American Horror Story" and "Person of Interest," and had an uncredited role in the 2003 "Daredevil' film.
Margolis is scheduled to debut as Felix Faust on the show's Jan. 23 episode, titled "Quid Pro Quo." "Constantine" did not receive an extension beyond its initially ordered 13 episodes, but a second season has reportedly not yet been ruled out.
"Constantine" returns from midseason hiatus with new episode "The Saint of Last Resorts: Part 2" at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16.
