Vivica A. Fox Defends Bill Cosby: He Was ‘Nothing Like the Man They’re Describing’ [VIDEO]

Just add actress Vivica A. Fox to the list of celebrities who have decided to defend Bill Cosby in regards to his mounting rape allegations.

During an appearance on "The Meredith Vieira Show," which aired Thursday, the 50-year-old "Kill Bill" actress recalled her experience working with the 77-year-old comedian, who has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting more than a dozen women in the 1970s and 1980s.

Fox, who worked with Cosby earlier in her acting career, told the talk show host that she never noticed any inappropriate actions coming from the actor.

"I worked on the Cosby show and was honored to do the show, and... the man I met was nothing like the man they are describing," Fox said. "He was nice, kind. There was no sexual overtones or anything so I defend him and I stand by him as well, too."

Vieira, who has been open about a past abusive relationship, responded with, "It also makes it all the more heartbreaking, if these women are correct in their assessment, and this happened."

"We shall see," Fox replied. "We all weren't there and as I said the man I met and worked with was nothing like that."

Phylicia Rashad, who played Bill Cosby's on-screen wife Clair Huxtable for all eight seasons of "The Cosby Show," came to her former co-star's defense claiming that the recent allegations are a plot to destroy Cosby's reputation.

Fox defended former "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant, Keshia Knight Pulliam, after she was fired from the show and asked for money for charity. Pulliam played Rudy Huxtable on the family sitcom. The actress joined a growing number of "Cosby Show" alumni who have defended Cosby in the midst of his recent sex scandal.

In an interview with Access Hollywood on Monday, Pulliam also spoke out about Cosby's sexual assault allegations.

"Whoever is involved, those are the people who were there. I wasn't there," she said. "I can only speak to the great man that I know and love, who has been so generous, who has been such a philanthropist and giving back millions of dollars to education and schools. And just the man I grew up knowing. It's really not my place to speak on that. Unfortunately, in the court of public opinion everyone has formed their opinion, but we're still in America and you're innocent until proven guilty of any crimes."

Pulliam called her on-screen father "awesome" and cited him as the man who inspired her to be an entrepreneur. The actress called his situation unfortunate, but said the "legacy he's built cannot be ignored."
