An Oklahoma grandmother accused of dressing like a witch and terrorizing little kids is now facing additional charges of abuse.
Geneva Robinson, of Oklahoma City, was arrested along with her boyfriend in October 2014 after several children, apparently her grandchildren, said she dressed in a green mask and hung them by leashes in her garage, KOCO.com reported.
Robinson allegedly told the kids, who were between ages 5 and 8, "The creatures in the attic were going to come out and get (them) tonight."
The 49-year-old grandmother whipped the kids and called herself "Nelda" while wearing the witch costume, police said. Along with her boyfriend, Joshua Granger, the couple also forced the kids to work for their meals - from breakfast to dinner - as well as for clean clothes and the right to bathe, according to court records obtained by KOCO.
Granger would dress up as the "Crew Crow," one of the alleged victims told police.
After Robinson was arrested, she admitted to playing the role of "Nelda" to get the kids to stay in bed.
"When I am Nelda, all I will say is all good girls and boys are in bed at night. Nelda's ghosts and goblins come out to get boys and girls in bed," said Robinson, who has previous felony convictions.
Police searched her home and found witch paraphernalia, including a witch's hat, wig and a black hooded-cloak, KOCO reported. The search also turned up another cloak and a white mask with red eyes.
The alleged abuse was exposed when a local hospital noticed marks and bruises on a 7-year-old girl after Robinson took her to the hospital and said she could not control her anymore, KFOR previously reported.
"Just a completely horrible situation for a child to be in," Gary Knight, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, told KFOR.
Robison and Granger face charges of physical child abuse and child neglect.
