James Gandolfini's Dead: John Travolta Will 'Make Sure That His Family Is Okay'

As many of Hollywood's elites come forward to express their condolences for James Gandolfini, there is one particular actor who is set on a mission to help the actor's grieving family.

According to US Weekly, when John Travolta sat down with "Good Morning America" he revealed that he is on a task to help the late actor's grieving family as Gandolfini did for his family when his son passed away.

Back in 2009, Travolta's son Jett, 16, died after suffering a seizure and Gandolfini was quick to rush to his friend's side during the difficult matter.

"James went out of his way to come to Florida and he would not leave Florida until I was okay, or he felt that I would be fine," Travolta said. "After a week I said, 'Jim you can really, you can, you know, we'll be fine. I've got a lot of support here.'

"The idea that in our profession someone would go out of their way and not want to leave you until he felt you were okay, that's the kind of soul that James Gandolfini was," he said.

The "Grease Actor" says that Gandolfini "was a people person first, and then everything else."

The 59-year old will "make sure that his family is okay," and when it comes to his children, Michael and Lilianna, "We'll just make sure they're taken care of. That's the whole idea."

Gandolfini passed away Wednesday night in Rome, Italy. The actor was in Italy for a film festival when he suffered the fatal heart attack. He is best known for his work on "The Sopranos" where he won three Emmys and one Golden Globe.
