Idaho Man Allegedly Kills Three In Shooting Rampage Before High Speed Chase and Arrest

Police chased and arrested an Idaho man in Washington Sunday that they suspected of killing three people and shooting another Saturday.

John Lee, 29, was arrested Sunday, and police say they found five guns and a laptop computer in his car, The Washington Post reported.

Police said they have not determined a motive for the shootings, but believe he killed three people and injured another Saturday.

They think he shot and killed his adoptive mother, Terri Grzebielski, his landlord, David Trail and an Arby's manager, Belinda Niebuhr, 47. Police said they think he shot Michael Chin, a 39-year-old man from Seattle.

According to Fox News, the shootings occurred in the western Idaho city of Moscow, 10 miles from Pullman, Wash.

Police said they found two semi-automatic pistols, a revolver, a shotgun and a rifle in Lee's car. They are going to use ballistic tests to determine which weapons might have been used in the shootings. They are seeking a search warrant for the laptop.

Grzebielski, 61, died first in her home. Lee traveled to Northwest Mutual life insurance and killed Trail, 76, next.

Police said Trail was a local businessman and the brother a of former state representative. He was discussing business with Chin when Lee arrived.

Police said Chin and Lee share no link, but Lee shot Chin in the arm and leg. Police Chief David Duke said Chin was flown to a hospital in Seattle in critical condition, but said Chin went to Spokane Sunday.

After the insurance company shootings, Lee traveled to an Arby's his parents frequented and asked for the manager. He shot Niebuhr and then sped away in his car.

A cafe worker near Arby's, Kelsey Stemrich, told police she saw a car pulling out of Arby's after the shooting. She and a customer took down the license plate number and then called the police, reported Fox News.

Police tracked down Lee's black Honda and pursued him claiming that the chase lasted nearly 25 miles with Lee's vehicle topping 100 mph. Lee crashed off Highway 195 north of Colfax and rolled to a stop.

Lee was taken to a Colfax hospital for minor injuries before being transported to the Whitman County Jail on a felony charge of eluding the police.

Idaho police issued a warrant for Lee's arrest for three counts of murder and one of attempted murder. Duke said they could take Lee into custody from Washington state if he does not fight extradition.
