Diamonds may be forever, but norms in engagement advertisements are always changing.
International jeweler Tiffany & Co. is featuring a same-sex couple for the first time in its new advertisement campaign.
The company's new "Will You" campaign, shot by photographer Peter Lindbergh, features seven scenes of happy couples.
"Will you promise to never stop completing my sentences or singing off-key, which I'm afraid you do often?" the copy reads. "And will you let today be the first sentence of one long story that never, ever ends?"
The same-sex couple featured is a real couple living in New York City, Tiffany spokeswoman Linda Buckley told CNN.
Buckley added that the campaign that included one same-sex couple was designed to show that love comes in a variety of forms.
"Nowadays, the road to marriage is no longer linear," she told CNN. "True love can happen more than once with love stories coming in a variety of forms."
Tiffany is joining other brands, such as Banana Republic and Target, in a growing list of companies representing same-sex couples in their advertisements.
