Crayola Apologizes After Hackers Post Sex Jokes On It's Facebook Page

Crayola apologized late Sunday after hackers with a high-school sense of humor posted sex jokes and other racy remarks not suitable for crayon users on its Facebook page, WFMZ-TV reported.

The Pennsylvania-based crayon maker usually posts Facebook messages about art products and toys. But on Sunday the unknown culprits hacked into Crayola's account and posted X-rated content, including one about "If Disney Was For Adults" and "10 Funny Memes About Girlfriends," according to E! Online.

Crayola tweeted shortly after 7 p.m. it was aware of the hack and that it was "making every effort to stop the unauthorized posts" on its official Facebook page that has over 2 million followers.

By 10 p.m., Crayola issued an apology and said its Facebook page was restored and the offensive posts deleted.

"Our sincere apologies to our Facebook community for the inappropriate and offensive posts you may have seen here today," the Hallmark Cards Inc. subsidiary wrote on Facebook. "Please be assured the official Crayola page has been restored.

"We can't thank our fans enough for the feedback and support we received while working to resolve the issue."
