Afghanistan is 1-1 in the Triangular series after defeating Scotland in the first ODI and losing to Ireland in the second. Looking back to the first ODI against Scotland, Afghanistan won by eight wickets. Javed Ahmadi took the Man of the Match award for his offensive efforts, which included 74 runs; Nasir Jamal lent support with 52 runs, and Usman Ghani and Afsar Zazai each added 48 runs apiece.
On the bowling front, Dawlat Zadran led the efforts with nine outs and three taken wickets, and Mirwais Ashraf had nine outs and two taken wickets. In total, Afghanistan recorded eight total wickets taken with four players notching nine outs apiece.
Scotland's only offense in the first ODI came from Hamish Gardiner, who scored a game-high 96 runs and was the only batsman for Scotland to score more than 28 runs. Their bowlers also struggled against Afghanistan, with Richie Berrington accounting for the team's only two wickets.
Scotland is 0-2 so far in the series, and both teams coming off three-wicket losses to Ireland.
