The 2013 Wimbledon Championships draw was announced for the upcoming event. The draw gives the potential for an exciting round of quarterfinals, where Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer could meet. On the women's side, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka might end up battling in the semifinal to likely face Serena Williams in the final, SI.com reports.
The biggest winner of the draw was No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic. He's on the other side of the draw from Andy Murray, Nadal and Federer - he'd only meet one of those players and it'd be in the final. The toughest challenges for Djokovic are in the fourth round if he faces Tommy Haas, the quarterfinals if Tomas Berdych advances and in the semifinals if David Ferrer makes it.
The other side of the draw is more loaded. No. 5 seed Nadal could meet No. 3 Federer in the quarterfinals, with the winner potentially facing the winner of No. 2 Murray and No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga possible quarterfinal bout.
Sharapova benefited from her draw, too. She's on the other side from Williams, who beat her earlier in the month at the French Open. Sharapova might have a tricky match up against Kristina Mladenovic in the first round or possibly Caroline Wozniacki in the quarterfinals, but it should otherwise be a smooth ride to the semifinals where she'll probably meet Azarenka. Williams will be the one to beat at Wimbledon, and it could turn into a rematch of the 2013 French Open Final.
