It's been about a decade since Jason Aldean brought his brand of country music to Nashville and then to the world -and he continues to rack up success after success. He has scored a bevy of No. 1 singles and chart-topping albums, won awards galore, sold millions of records and is now a stadium-packing superstar.
Even with all of his success, Aldean remains a humble, down-to-earth guy.
Here's the proof:
During an interview with Radio.com last year, the singer-songwriter was asked about great moments during his career, and he was quick to turn the attention to one of his heroes. For Aldean, a career highlight was getting to open for, and perform with, George Strait for several dates on Strait's final tour.
"Getting a chance to be a part of the George Strait tour, to be a part of his last tour and getting the chance to get on stage with him and sing. And not only sing with him, but to sing songs that, as a kid, I used to go and listen to [on] vinyl albums on my dad's record player," Aldean said.
Strait has long been one of Aldean's favorite artists.
"[He's] someone who has been a huge influence on me, [so] to get a chance to get on stage with him and sing things that really got me interested in country music, that was definitely one of the highlights of my career for sure," Aldean stated, according to antimusic.com.
